I know something is not right with me, when I run or walk far the next day it seems like there isn’t any improvement and I remember in the past walking or using my legs would make me stronger, this doesn’t happen now. Also when I’m walking on the pavement sometimes I’ll just walk like I’m drunk for no reason! Some days are worse than others. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to fall into someone walking past me which adds to the stress of walking. My mother noticed I sometimes have slurred speech as if I’m drunk and I have to promise her I haven’t been drinking! Hand-writing is now a struggle for me, when I could used to write pages with no problem, now it’s a challenge and I feel my writing is slower and has regressed. I have all these symptoms and I don’t know what to do!

I don’t understand why gluten is a problem for those with ataxia. This was also mentioned in another video on ataxia where a patient was told to eliminate gluten. Is there research on this?

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in October 2011, at the age of 44. You need a doctor that’s interested in your health problems. It took me a long time and a family members coming with me to get a referral. The gp service is appalling but the Sheffield team are fabulous.

I read that stemcell therapy gives those patients one year better quality of life. BUT when I see what that therapy does I should try CBD oil 10% at the start WITH THC for the adults at the start for 45 days. I believe there is a chance to give them an acceptable quality of life.
